why is it so important to write here ?

Journalism in france went bankroft. Nothing is really a story, and if there is no daily murder then only gossip is considered news. The traditional French journalists will not work hard to get a real story, unless it falls on them with all the weight.

The French journalism is dying. Nobody bothers anymore, nobody research and nobody can identify a story even if it will run him down with a truck. The French journalism stopped being the watch dog of the democracy and the journalists are worried for their own good life. Public money ? Injustice ? Harassment ? pouverty ?  nothing is considered news anymore (axcept probably what does Sarkozy did last night). I am here for almost 2 years and its practically drives me crazy, I have seen things that were supposed to be in the front page, i have seen people that were supposed to be thrown to jail. But I havn't seen any journalist that bothers to write anything. The attitude of the French journalism is "don't make waves". this is why we shouls all encourage this site (come4 news) and other like it and instead of buying those louzy papers we should use this for the real news.

Yes I know the French papers are scrapping the bottom, and sales are extremely low, rating of the major TV and Radio stations are the same. No wonder, there is nothing new ! they don't bother, why should we ?

I have been living in different countries, and the only notable exception is the German Press which has some exceptional seekers and writers. Bu they have a lot of money and the German buy and read 1 to 3 newspapers a day. And they work very closely with the government and politics which make things easier. I also know personaly some good journalists in the State (e. g., the Washington POst) but do you think that american people are well informed? Regards
