MoDeM - the big bluff

What kind of party is MoDem ? Is it possible to be a center party in France ?

Jean-Luc Benahmias shows the real face of MoDeM

I always suspected political parties that calls themselves "Center" because nobody is really center, everyone has here or there ideas from the right and/or from the left. I felf the same when i first heard Francois Byrou that somehow always struck me as a hardliner leftist, but always declared himself as "Center". he never had ideas of his own and so does his party members. A little from the right and little from the left... nothing original/

Jean-Luc Benahamias was chosen by Francois Byrou to lead the party in Marseille, Benahamias is originaly from the Greens and therefore supposed to be out of the political right/left argument.

After the first municipal election round (where Benehamias himself was kicked quire hard) he reached an agreement with Guerinni the leader of the Socialist party in Marseille without consulting his party.

When some of his party members declared that they do not accept it and would not be idenfitied with the left he said: "its normal that within 300 members 4-5 will be against -after all they are from the right". So Benahamias exposed the fact that MoDeM is a Left party with some small minority that represent the right and should not be consulted with.

Jean-Luc Benahamias is a rougue politician with plenty of experience but his whole political future in France depends on Guerinni now, because Gaudin the UMP leader didn't want even to consider his offers.
